Hi all,
The new season is here and some wild kitesurfing has already been perpetrated by some of the members. (Not pointing fingers, but is was Megan)
Anyhoo, did some updates to the site, if you view this from your laptop/desktop PC you wont notice anything, but if you go to the usual address in your mobile phone then you will notice the pages has been formatted to better display on your small screen. If you do this notice the "Find Wind" menu item exclusive to mobile view customers.

| Sad day |

I would like us all to mark today. It is a sad day as we were informed of a kite friends passing on the beach at Maccasar. Pierre lost his life while doing the one thing we all like doing best, kiting.
According to eye witness accounts, Pierre was in shallow water, body dragging and practicing to get on his board, when his kite started looping and dragging him through the water and eventually out on the beach. (Pathology reported that Pierre had a heart attack)
As I write this with a heavy heart, I'm thinking of Pierre's family and friend and the loss they must feel. I think I speak for all local kiteboarders when I say that our hearts and thoughts are with you in this difficult time. | |
